The Lamborghini Countach 1987 LP 5000 Quattrovalvole (QV) is a highly coveted collector’s item in the world of exotic automobiles. Known for its distinctive design and powerful performance, the Lamborghini Countach defined the look and performance expectations of supercars for many years.
Produced from 1985-1988, the LP 5000 QV is an iconic model in the Countach lineup. "QV" stands for "Quattrovalvole", which translates from Italian as "four valves". The name was derived from the four valves per cylinder in the engine.
The LP 5000 QV was the most powerful Countach model released. Powered by a 5.2-liter V12 engine, it can produce astounding 455 horsepower at 7000 rpm. Also, it was the first Countach to feature fuel injection, a feature that was prompted by the need to meet emissions standards without sacrificing power.
As for the design, the Lamborghini Countach 1987 LP 5000 QV inherited the standard Countach wedge shape with some additional styling enhancements. These included larger air scoops and vents to help keep the more powerful engine cool, and optional oversized rear 'wing' was available for those wanting an even more aggressive look.
On the interior, the LP 5000 QV featured a cabin that was as luxury-packed as it was visually appealing. Leather upholstery, air conditioning, and electric windows were standard. With the signature scissor doors, entering and exiting the Countach is a unique experience in itself. 
Despite its age, the 1987 LP 5000 QV still commands attention both for its striking design and impressive performance. The Countach is a legendary symbol of the Lamborghini brand and remains one of the most beloved models amongst enthusiasts.
